Closing the Loop on Plasterboard

At Countrystyle Recycling we run one of the UK’s largest plasterboard recycling facilities, processing up to 120,000 tonnes annually. We work in partnership with other businesses to deliver circular economy solutions that keep materials in continuous use.

Transforming Coffee Waste into Resources

The UK produces over 500,000 tonnes of coffee waste annually, with a significant proportion ending up in landfill and emitting methane. We see an opportunity to transform this over-looked by-product into a valuable resource – supporting sustainable industries, reducing emissions and advancing a circular economy.

Improving Our Soil

We manage more than 1.7 million tonnes of waste each year, ensuring materials are efficiently recovered and repurposed. Through our specialist composting division, Envar, we transform food and green waste into high-quality, PAS 100-Certified Compost.

Turning Waste into Power

Each year, Countrystyle Recycling diverts over 180,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste from landfill through domestic and international EfW and ERF partnerships. Approximately 80,000 tonnes are treated at UK-based facilities, while around 100,000 tonnes are exported to Europe.

Raising a Glass to Recycling

Countrystyle Recycling manages the collection and recycling of over 33,000 tonnes of glass annually, delivering dedicated bottle bank services across the east of England and tailored collection solutions across the South-East. Separating glass from mixed recycling enables businesses and local authorities to reduce costs and enhance recycling performance.

Turning Food Waste into Fuel

Each year, Countrystyle Recycling diverts 70,000 tonnes of food waste into anaerobic digestion, generating renewable energy and nutrient-rich biofertiliser.
